I have been using Spotify since my first stream at 1:08pm May 7, 2018, age 17. Prior to this I had meagre taste in music, an iPod Shuffle with songs pirated from YouTube, and a handful of paid songs on iTunes.

Given my data obsession, I track my precise lifetime Spotify listening history using stats.fm🔹. This is not readily available🔹 from Spotify’s own API.

I have always been intentional with my usage of Spotify so that these stats are accurate¹. For example, I avoid sharing my account or leaving on music when I cannot actually hear it.
